According to Neil Seldman, President of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance in Washington, DC, “Technical distinctions among these (Waste to Energy technologies) are not important. All these technologies cost hundreds of millions of dollars (billions when amortized over 20 years).

Built to Last!

In an interesting interview in GreenBuilder magazine entitled “Deferred Payment”,  John Norquist talks about Roads and Land Use.  John, an urban planner, puts forth that Transit has three functions: movement, social interaction, and economy.  The old road building plans that we are currently funding with stimulus money are exactly what we should not be building.
